Tercer album, los desconocia totalmente, del grupo de dub de Suiza (con ese nombre, ke cutre pelis de Bud Spencer & Terence Hill….), y como dice el titulo de su último disco ‘Riding Strange Horses’, con mucho humor y amor por el dub se han dedicado ha hacer versiones de temas y darles un toque fresco de dub, las versiones, de todo y sorprendente, algunas mejor conseguidas que otras, pasando de Ennio Morriconne a Falco, Metallica, el Mama de Genesis, The Clash, William S. Burroughs (K GRANDE, K VOZ, EL MAESTRO), Deep Purple, el Primavera……. Curioso, divetido y ahora con el calor entra muy bien……

“Riding Strange Horses” is the name of the third album by the space cowboys, and it sees the four Swiss musicians herding together a pack of very strange steeds indeed, and then proceeding to ride them in time-honoured rodeo tradition. The strange horses come from famous stables (Falco, The Clash, Genesis, Deep Purple, The Catch, M, Tullio De Piscopo, Grauzone etc.) and have notched up umpteen top-ten hits over the past three decades, albeit in disciplines that have about as much in common with dub as the forlorn pink rocking horse has with the dust-dry desert.

Dry-as-dust humour dominates the choice of tracks: monumental pop classics, schmaltzy rock ballads and grimy hits – the stuff that our teenage dreams were made of. The tracklist is heavy on school party classics and cult hits – all lathered up and shaved in the best dub style! Dub Spencer & Trance Hill obviously have a love-hate relationship with many of the original versions, underpinned with a certain covert admiration. With their usual microscopic attention to detail they hammer and chisel out their own versions, applying with incredible consistency their unique magic to each track and infusing it with their distinctive irony and sarcasm. The result is an eloquent answer to the authenticity debate currently raging in the European reggae scene.

Después de debutar con el single ‘Sex Is Fashion’  (llevan desde el 2006) y algunos temas y videos que han ido colgando por la red (divertidisomo el video de Who’s Next), tienen su album completo, un french-electro con synth-dance y algun punto de 80′s, una propuesta divertida y marchosa, estan muy bien, ese sonido de synth, los ritmos, las voces,… MUY RECOMENDABLE, para pasar un buen rato con unos bailoteos!!!!

‘Sex Is Fashion’ is about as much cheesy, Eurodance synth-pop as it’s possible to fit into one song. It’s so unashamedly naff, it’s actually pretty likeable. We can only hope that Curry & Coco had their tongues wedged firmly in their cheeks when they came up with the idea of throwing every synth under the sun together over the sound of someone yelping “sex is fashion!” like they believe they actually sound good doing so.

Esta muy bien el disco, y con el soleta que pega hoy, suena muy bien…..

Since August 2009, the band has been signed to the British label Mullet Records. The original EP, together with the EP Remixed that features remixes from Tesla’s label mates, are both out and available in all digital stores. The EP Remixed reached the ?3 slot on the Junodownload charts during the week of its release, a feat that a Russian electronic act has never accomplished before. In the meantime, the band is in the process of recording their debut album, with a release date set for early 2010 on the same label, preceded by a single release of the track Electric Lady and it’s music video. The tour dates have also been planned.

This May, Frankfurt-based producer Anthony Rother will release Pop Killer 2, a follow up to his 2004 album Pop Killer.

A lot has happened in Rother’s career since the original Pop Killer, including a handful of albums, a few We Are Punks compilations and about a dozen other releases on his label, Datapunk. Nonetheless, Rother found himself drawn back to the motifs of Popkiller, many of which are revived by song titles on the new record. (For instance, the original began with “Day,” the new one begins with “Night”; Popkiller had “Father”, Popkiller 2 has “Mother,” and so on.) As with much of Rother’s work, sci-fi atmospheres and fuzzy electro beats abound. The new record will be Rother’s first artist album since 2008′s My Name Is Beuys Von Telekraft.

Trentemøller made his debut in 1997 together with DJ T.O.M. when they formed the first live-house act in Denmark, Trigbag, and started playing concerts all over the globe. Trigbag’s single “Showtime” was played by international DJs such as Alex Gopher, Laurent Garnier and Etienne de Crécy. Trigbag dissolved in 2000.

Danish Electronic DJ & Producer currently living in Copenhagen, Denmark.

His debut album ‘The Last Resort’ (Poker Flat Recordings, 2006) was selected as “Album of the Year” in the German magazine Groove Mag and the French magazine Trax.

Después de 10 años con ninja Tune, ya con Lowe Leve el Ep ‘Gammera’ en Lower Level, donde tambien esta el nuevo album, gran disco, sobretodo con el acompñamiento de visuales y la mezcla de imagenes y sonido (tipo Dj Yoda, Addictive TV…) Buena mezcla de dubstep, electronica, breaks,…y zappings de peliculas, muy buen show!!!!!

UK production/VJ outfit Hexstatic (aka Stuart Warren Hill and Robin Brunson) return with a brand new album, leading with former single ‘Gammera’ in all its break chopping, dubstep-tinted glory. ‘Jungle Drums’ further suggests the the duo are keeping abreast of the times, laying down some tough basslines and urgent drum programming. Subsequently, the likes of ‘KOs’ and ‘The Galaxy Invader’ retreat into more obviously familiar drum & bass territory, but the execution is suitably big, lumbering and loud, with plenty of melodic content elevating the latter. Taking on more of a staunch, electro-informed angle is ‘Embryo’, which comes complete with hammering sub-bass tones. The duo have plenty of fun with the found-sound sampling aesthetics of ‘Monkey’s Uncle’, before memorable transforming the piece into a mostrous dubstep production that oozes playful malevolence. Preserving the air of creative diversity, ‘Charade’ lopes into a funk-fuelled easy listening mode, and for its finale Trailer Trax rounds off with the crunching rim shots, expert beat carving and flamboyant synth processing of ‘Skateboard Sense’.
