Sweet Apple (J Mascis, Tim Parnin, John Petkovic, Dave Sweetapple) From Cleveland to Brattleboro to Amherst to the clouds.
Res de nou, pero sona molt be, rock clàssic, J. Mascis (a la batería i algunes veus i guitarres) l’avi del grunge-guitar noise, encara te ganes d’anar fent noves coses, ara una especie de indie-alternatiu-supergrup (Dinosaur Jr, Cobra Verde i Witch) formació clàsica, veu, guitarra, baix i bateria.
Boasting Cobra Verde’s John Pektovic on vocals, J. Mascis on drums (recapturing the throne he held in Deep Wound over a quarter of a century ago), Witch’s Dave Sweetapple on bass, and Tim Parnin (another CV alum) on guitar, Sweet Apple formed rather randomly at the tail end of the ’00s. With an M.O. that appears to be “good jams for bad times,” the band captures the unfettered joy of burly rock riffs, glittery choruses, and arena-sized swagger. Sweet Apple released its debut full-length, Love and Desperation, on Tee Pee.
