The band that built its reputation on the underground indie scene of Athens by exalting DIY, tramples all of its ideals by finally signing a record deal for the release of its debut album. “All Great Events” by “My Wet Calvin” is a collection of older songs and new compositions that extends to shoegaze soundscapes and dreamy pop-rock atmospheres, multi-level guitars, drums, white noise, electro backing and fragile voices. The originality of this particular album is, however, another fact: each copy is unique. Each ‘All Great Events’ has a different handmade cover, spray painted by the band itself and from those found at SIX D.O.G.S. in Athens, the week that the white covers were displayed at the gallery space.
